Personal finance MCP

The MCP server for your money

Connect your accounts once. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible agent can then read your balances and transactions, organize your spending, and move money between your own accounts.

How it works

Connect once, then just ask

Era Context sits between your accounts and whatever AI you use. Your agent gets your real financial picture and the same tools Era's own automations run on.

Works with the AI you already use

Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Augment, JetBrains IDEs, GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, Poke, and OpenClaw. Any other client that speaks MCP works too.

Typed tools, not text dumps

Your agent reaches accounts, holdings, transactions, insights, memory, shared views, connections, and billing. Each one is a typed tool call with a schema, not a text dump of last month's statement. What it sees depends on your plan, the scopes you approved, and your client.

Set up in minutes, no code

Add Era Context as a Streamable HTTP MCP server, approve the connection, and ask a question. Nothing to build, nothing to host. Developer-first clients like Claude Code and VS Code use an API key instead of the browser prompt.

OAuth 2.1, scoped and revocable

You approve the connection and the scopes it asks for. Reads run on mcp:tools-basic. Changing your plan needs a separate mcp:billing-write consent you grant on its own. Revoke any client from Era and its access ends immediately.

Encrypted, and never sold

Your data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Your bank credentials are never stored, and they never reach the agent. Era never sells your data.

A server, not another app

Change clients, not your setup. Connect Claude and ChatGPT at the same time, drop one, add another. Your accounts, your rules, and your memory live with your Era account, not with any one client.

Read and act

What your agent can actually do

One connection gives your agent read access to your whole picture inside the scopes you approved, and, one approval at a time, the same actions Era's own automations run.

Ask anything about your money

"What did I spend on travel last quarter?" Your agent pulls balances, holdings, transactions, and insights across every connected account, as of your latest sync, and answers in the chat you are already in.

Clean up the mess

Categorize spending, tag transactions, and write rules in plain language. Era's rules engine keeps them running long after the conversation ends.

Move money, with your sign-off

Your agent can move money between your own accounts, and nothing else: it can't pay bills, place trades, or file taxes. Every transfer waits for you to approve that transfer before it runs.

Check its work

Every read and write an agent makes is logged. Open your activity log to see exactly which agent touched what, and when.

Frequently asked questions

era Context is an OAuth-protected remote MCP server. You sign in with your era account, review the requested scopes, and approve the connection — API keys are available for developer-first tools.
